Jinding Award Winner Luo Zheng Showed at China International Fashion Week with her Works

First Gathering of 19 Master Designers to Celebrate 20 Glorious Years of China Fashion

“Jinding Award” is the “Oscar” of China fashion design. On the closing ceremony of 2018 Spring-Summer China International Fashion Week, Luo Zheng, Winner of China Fashion Designer Top Award “Jinding Award”, met with other 18 Jinding Award winners and together they exhibited the style and characteristics of China’s top designers.

On November 7, the Beginning of Winter, all things start to hibernate. The grand event in Beijing - GROUNDSHOW Night - Mercedes-Benz - China International Fashion Week and China Fashion Award 2017 Award Ceremony ended in great success. The fashion feast of China International Fashion Week once again provided people with the latest trend of global fashion. As the biggest and most influential fashion week in Asia Pacific, China International Fashion Week has received global attention with its vanguard concept and fashionable spirit.

Together we have traveled through the twenty years - 2017 marked the 20^th anniversary of China International Fashion Week. In memory of each step in the growth of China International Fashion Week and China’s fashion industry since 20 years ago, all the past 19 winners of China Fashion Designer Top Award “Jinding Award” gathered for the first time with their works to jointly celebrate the 20 glorious years of China’s fashion industry.

At the special show of Jinding Award winner designers’ works, Luo Zheng, the 10^th Jinding Award Winner in 2006, made a brilliant appearance with her work Lotus Dance and became the focus of the present stars and media.

In light and ethereal dresses and wearing wreaths around head, the models walked gracefully from afar while the ink painted lotuses started to sway in elegant pose, as if they were dancing and flying in the wind. It is a perfect exhibition of the imaginary space and dynamism of oriental aesthetics

At the Fashion Week, many famous designers have chosen the setting of “Chinoiserie”, which, to a large extent, is not only attributed to the fashion influence in recent years, but also, to an even larger extent, shows that people start to become fond of and concerned with traditional cultural elements. For Luo Zheng and her team who have been inheriting oriental aesthetics, their design have displayed the quintessential elements of Chinese ink painting and oriental culture at the maximum level, bringing both a quality of classicism and more of humanistic charm and artistic taste.

Having experienced key nodes in the development of China’s apparel industry, Luo Zheng and her design team have been staying true to their design heart, keep challenging higher aesthetic standards, develop their own style and achieve stable growth and together with the Fashion Week, have witnessed the rise of China’s apparel industry.

The work Lotus Dance consists of three groups and is inspired from the image of lotus leaves dancing and flying in the wind in Chinese ink paintings. The work has adopted techniques such as sketching, embroidery and sfumato embroidery and perfectly integrated traditional Chinese aesthetics and modern design, making oriental women as elegant as the ink painted lotus dancing in wind and exhibiting the ethereal beauty through movement and tranquility.
